The father of a 17-year-old Ontario boy who died in September 2021 has launched a fundraiser to raise money to sue the federal government, alleging that his son died after being required to take a Health Canada-approved COVID-19 vaccine to play hockey.
Dan Hartman maintains that his son Sean died 33 days after his first COVID-19 vaccine, saying in an Aug. 3 video message that his claim to the Canada Vaccine Injury Support Program was denied. The father said the program told him there was “no proof” the vaccine was responsible for his son's death.
Mr. Hartman said that in order to appeal, he was required to obtain new medical evidence.
Mr. Hartman said he will now “challenge the federal government and demand accountability for vaccine-related deaths.”
The father first announced in a social media post on July 26 that he had found lawyers to take on his son's case and Dr. Peter McCullough, an American cardiologist and epidemiologist from Dallas, Texas, had agreed to provide expert witness evidence.
In a statement to The Epoch Times on Aug. 10, Mr. Hartman indicated he has recently retained two lawyers to represent him for the case.
Health Canada did not respond to requests for comment by press time.
