Recent data reveals a concerning trend: an unprecedented increase in cardiovascular deaths among individuals under 45. Ed Dowd, a former BlackRock portfolio manager and data analyst, has uncovered alarming statistics related to cardiovascular fatalities in the UK.

Dowd’s comprehensive report highlights a shift in cardiovascular death rates among individuals aged 15 to 44 in England and Wales. Initially, from 2010 to 2019, there was a positive decline in cardiovascular deaths in this age group, dropping from 10 to 8 deaths per 100,000. However, this trend has now reversed.

In 2020, there were approximately 2,000 cardiovascular deaths in people aged 15 to 44, surpassing the 2015-2019 average by 200. Shockingly, after the introduction of the COVID-19 vaccine in 2021, there were around 2,300 cardiovascular deaths, a staggering 500 more than the 2015-2019 average. In 2022, this number rose to 2,500, 700 more than the previous average.

Dowd’s subsequent findings focused on excess deaths attributed to cardiovascular disease in the 15 to 44 age group. Excess death rates from cardiovascular diseases experienced a notable increase of around 13% in 2020. Yet, in 2021, post-widespread vaccination, cardiovascular deaths surged by 30%, followed by an even more distressing 44% increase in 2022.

These statistics, labeled by Dowd as a ‘black swan event,’ represent a severe anomaly, with Z-scores (standard deviations) of 7.5 and 10.5 for 2021 and 2022, respectively. Such deviations are extraordinarily rare, with less than a 0.00001% chance of occurring.

However, these anomalies occurred in both 2021 and 2022, signaling a need for thorough investigation. Dowd emphasized that something is clearly amiss.

In terms of gender disparities, while men and women showed similar increases in heart-related deaths in 2020 and 2021, 2022 revealed a significant gap. Men experienced a staggering 56% deviation from the expected trend, double the 28% observed in women.

Dowd concluded his presentation by illustrating the profound long-term impact on the population.

He also cited a study by Buergin and colleagues, revealing that 2.8% of individuals experienced ‘vaccine-associated myocardial injury’ after receiving the Moderna bivalent booster shot.

Applying this rate to the UK’s 15 to 44 population, Dowd suggested that up to 650,000 UK citizens might suffer from long-term heart damage.

Even if one assumes myocarditis is ‘mild’ with a 90% recovery rate, Dowd emphasized that it could still potentially affect a market of 65,000 individuals, leading to either disability or death in the future.”
