According to an ANI report, a researcher from the Wuhan Institute of Virology has made a startling claim that China engineered the coronavirus as a “bioweapon.” In a captivating interview shared by ANI, Chao Shao, alongside Chinese-born human rights activist Jennifer Zeng, shed light on some alarming incidents.

Chao Shao recounted an incident involving a fellow researcher, Shan Chao, who admitted that their superior provided them with four strains of the coronavirus to test their infectivity across different species, including humans. Referring to the virus as a “bioweapon,” Chao Shao expressed concern over the disappearance of several colleagues during the 2019 Military World Games held in Wuhan.

These researchers later disclosed that they were sent to hotels accommodating athletes to “inspect health and hygiene conditions.” However, Chao Shao suspected that their real purpose was to spread the virus, as hygiene inspections did not require virologists.

Adding to the intrigue, Chao Shan claimed that in April 2020, he was sent to Xinjiang to assess the health of Uyghur individuals held in re-education camps. This raised questions about whether he was instructed to spread the virus or observe its effects on humans.
