In the latest Twitter Files, attention is being drawn to Dr. Scott Gottlieb and his involvement with tech giant's responses to COVID-19 – he was previously an FDA commissioner as well as a board member of reputable Pfizer vaccine producer.
Alex Berenson, a COVID skeptic whose views on the vaccine have been met with both criticism and admiration, was recently granted access to Elon Musk's Twitter Files. His discoveries were published in his “Unreported Truths” Substack newsletter for all of his followers to read.
In August 2021, Berenson revealed an email from Gottlieb to Twitter's senior public policy manager Todd O’Boyle about a tweet of former Trump administration official Dr. Brett Giroir which said:
Berenson recounted that O'Boyle delivered Gottlieb's email to Twitter's “Strategist Response” squad, captioning the message with: “Have a look at this report from the ex-FDA commissioner.”
A “misleading” label was added to Giroir's tweet, disabling any capacity to like or share it. Twitter users were then informed that they should “Learn why health officials recommend a vaccine for most people.”
In September 2021, CNBC contributor Gottlieb noticed and pointed out a tweet from Justin Hart, author at Substack and critic of COVID policies. It read “Sticks and stones may break my bones but a viral pathogen with an almost non-existent child mortality rate has led to nearly three years’ worth of missing schooling for our children.” This was during the peak of the pandemic crisis.
Gottlieb's motive for challenging Hart's statement remains unknown, yet the Pfizer vaccine was shortly authorized to be dispensed among children aged 5 to 11, which would create a substantial market opportunity for Pfizer should guardians become persuaded that Covid posed an authentic danger toward their youngsters. Berenson noted this in his writing.
Berenson's statement disclosed that Gottlieb had previously aimed at him prior to his eternal ejection from Twitter (Following a legal struggle with the tech titan, Berenson was then revived in July 2022).
In August 2021, Scott Gottlieb flagged a tweet from Andrew Berenson in which he harshly criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci. Calling attention to the post on Twitter, Gottlieb asserted that “This is why Tony needs a security detail.”
