Country music star Trace Adkins has made headlines with his outspoken support for vaccines. In a recent appearance on Bill Maher's podcast, Adkins jokingly expressed his enthusiasm for injecting his body with vaccines for “everything.” This statement comes at a time when there is considerable skepticism surrounding the mRNA vaccines, due to observed adverse side effects and the government's push for universal vaccination.
Adkins, who unapologetically voted for former President Donald Trump in 2020, shared that his mother had contracted the virus three times. Despite being 81 years old, she had built up a natural immunity after the first infection, making subsequent cases less severe. Adkins himself also contracted the virus multiple times, despite being vaccinated.
When Maher asked Adkins if he believed in any COVID-19 vaccine conspiracy theories, the country music star dismissed them outright. He stated, “I just don't buy all of that crap, you know? I'm like, ‘Give me a vaccine for everything that you've got one for.' I'll take them. I'm not scared of that. I don't think they're trying to put something in the vaccines to control us.”
