In a shocking revelation, Dr. Hanna Nohynek, a senior official at the World Health Organization (WHO), admitted in court that vaccine passports may have been a scam. Dr. Nohynek testified that she had advised her government that vaccine passports were unnecessary and gave a false sense of security, as the COVID-19 vaccines did not stop virus transmission. However, her advice was ignored, and vaccine passports continued to be required. This testimony came to light in a Helsinki courtroom during a lawsuit filed by a Finnish citizen who was denied entry to a café for not having a vaccine passport.
Dr. Nohynek, who is the chief physician at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare and serves as the chair of WHO's Strategic Group of Experts on immunization, stated that her institute had informed the Finnish government in late 2021 that COVID passports were no longer necessary. Despite this, certificates continued to be required. This admission by Dr. Nohynek is especially surprising as she is widely respected in global medical circles and holds important positions in vaccine advisory boards.
The European Union (EU) had implemented the EU Digital COVID Certificate Regulation in July 2021, and more than 2.3 billion certificates were issued. France even banned visitors without a valid vaccine passport from various activities, including buying food at stores and using public transport. However, Dr. Nohynek's testimony suggests that the scientific advice against vaccine passports was ignored.
The lawsuit filed by the Finnish citizen, Mika Vauhkala, aims to defend basic rights and challenge the discrimination based on health conditions caused by vaccine passports. The trial also includes testimony from British cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra, who criticizes unethical and misinformed policies such as vaccine mandates and passports that undermine informed patient consent and evidence-based medical practice.
