According to a recent report by investigative reporter Paul D. Thacker, a leading vaccine expert from the World Health Organization (WHO) admitted in court that vaccine passports may have been a scam. Dr. Hanna Nohynek, who serves as the WHO's chair of Strategic Group of Experts on immunization, testified that she advised her government against implementing vaccine passports as the COVID-19 vaccines did not stop virus transmission and gave a false sense of security. However, her advice was ignored, and vaccine passports continued to be required.
The revelations came to light in a Helsinki courtroom during a lawsuit filed by a Finnish citizen named Mika Vauhkala, who was denied entry to a café for not having a vaccine passport. Dr. Nohynek, who is also the chief physician at the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare, stated that her institute had known since the summer of 2021 that the COVID-19 vaccines did not prevent virus transmission.
Despite this knowledge, the European Union (EU) and its member states started implementing COVID passports, and more than 2.3 billion certificates were issued. In France, citizens were banned from certain activities if they did not possess a valid vaccine passport. However, Dr. Nohynek testified that her institute advised the Finnish government in late 2021 that vaccine passports were no longer necessary, yet the requirement for certificates continued.
Dr. Nohynek's admission has shocked many in the medical community, as she is widely respected and serves on various vaccine advisory boards. The EU's digital COVID-19 certification also helped establish the WHO Global Digital Health Certification Network in 2023.
The lawsuit filed by Mika Vauhkala against the Finnish government is ongoing, with British cardiologist Dr. Aseem Malhotra expected to testify about unethical and misinformed policies such as vaccine mandates and passports.
Overall, this report raises questions about the effectiveness and necessity of vaccine passports, as well as the decision-making processes behind their implementation.
