A growing number of candidates and elected officials are calling for the removal of Covid shots from the market, according to Texas doctor Dr. Mary Talley Bowden. In a post, Bowden stated that 78 candidates, 60 elected officials, and one state surgeon general have publicly expressed their belief that the Covid injections should be pulled from the market. Additionally, over 17,000 physicians are standing behind these officials.
Dr. Bowden, who has studied medicine at both the University of Texas and Stanford University, has been at the forefront of controversy in Texas. She is currently facing charges by the state medical board for prescribing ivermectin to a hospitalized Covid patient. Despite the charges, Bowden stands by her methods and claims to have successfully treated more than 5,500 Covid patients without a single death.
The allegations against Bowden by the Texas Medical Board surround a specific case involving Tarrant County Deputy Sheriff Jason Jones. Jones tested positive for Covid-19 and requested ivermectin, but the hospital refused to administer the drug off-label. Bowden prescribed ivermectin and applied for privileges with the hospital, but her application was rejected. Jones' wife filed a lawsuit, and Bowden sent a nurse to administer the medication at the hospital. However, the hospital refused entry to the nurse and called the police. The situation escalated, and Bowden publicized the patient's care on Twitter. Ultimately, Jones' right to try the medication was denied, and he passed away.
Bowden's fight against the medical establishment extends beyond her individual case. Alongside two other doctors, she filed a lawsuit against the FDA for advising Americans to stop taking ivermectin to treat Covid. The doctors accused the FDA of interfering in doctors' authority to prescribe approved medications and interfering in the doctor-patient relationship. Bowden highlighted the difficulties she faced in prescribing ivermectin, including finding pharmacies willing to dispense it and fighting against hospitals that were unwilling to use it.
However, as of August 2023, doctors are now free to prescribe ivermectin to treat Covid. Bowden's dedication to her patients and her fight against the medical establishment has gained her support from numerous candidates, elected officials, and physicians across the country.
The growing list of officials calling for the removal of Covid shots from the market reflects concerns about the safety and efficacy of these vaccines. It also raises questions about the influence of pharmaceutical companies on the medical industry. With over 17,000 physicians standing behind these officials, it is clear that there is a significant divide within the medical community regarding the use of Covid vaccines.
Dr. Bowden's hearing for the charges brought against her by the Texas Medical Board is set to take place on April 24. This case will likely have significant implications for the future of Covid treatment and the autonomy of doctors in prescribing medications.
