Last week, Governor Ron DeSantis announced his intention to ask Florida’s Supreme Court to gather a grand jury to investigate any instances of wrongdoing related to the COVID-19 vaccines. This would include an examination of the development and administration of the mRNA vaccines from Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna/NIAID in Florida, as well as any potential negative effects they may have caused.
After a discussion with a panel of doctors and scientists, including Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, MD, Gov. DeSantis made an announcement expressing concerns over adverse reactions to mRNA COVID-19 shots and the failure of producing corporations to submit clinical trial results for independent research.
Lack of Independent Analysis Regarding the Harmful Effects and Benefits of COVID Vaccines
There are concerns about the validity of the data submitted to the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for authorization of the mRNA COVID vaccines due to a lack of independent evaluation. According to Joseph Fraiman, MD of Thibodaux Regional Medical Center in Louisiana, the original trials of these vaccines showed an increase in serious adverse events at a higher rate than initially realized.
According to Dr. Fraiman, if future studies don't prove the safety and benefits of mRNA vaccines for healthy adults and children, they shouldn't be recommended. He also believes that regardless of what federal agencies suggest, it's important for them to disclose these findings to the public so that individuals can make informed decisions about getting vaccinated against COVID-19.
Tracey Høeg, MD, PhD from the Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics at the University of California in San Francisco emphasized the importance of having updated and completely transparent analyses of the risks and benefits of vaccines for all age groups. This information is essential for doctors to provide informed recommendations and for patients to make informed decisions.
Governor DeSantis stated that it is against the law to deceive or make false claims about the effectiveness of a drug in Florida. He also mentioned that the state has the ability to obtain the necessary data even if it is not willingly provided.
Public Health Integrity Committee Proposed
Governor DeSantis has announced that he plans to establish a committee called Public Health Integrity to review federal guidance and recommendations regarding COVID and ensure that Florida's public health policies are customized for its communities and priorities. He also aims to request a grand jury to investigate any crimes or wrongdoing related to the COVID-19 vaccine that has affected Floridians.
The committee investigating the issue will be led by Dr. Ladapo and will also include Drs. Fraiman and Høeg, as well as Jay Bhattacharya, MD, PhD; Martin Kuldorff, PhD; Christine Stabell Benn, MD, PhD; Bret Weinstein, PhD; and Steven Templeton, PhD.
Cases of individuals who have been vaccinated for COVID-19 and experienced sudden deaths will be investigated more thoroughly
Florida Governor DeSantis pledged to investigate “sudden deaths” of vaccinated individuals in the state using autopsy findings. Dr. Ladapo stated that they will start a program to analyze cases of myocarditis in people who have died within a few weeks of being vaccinated against COVID-19.
He believes that healthcare professionals should inform patients about the risks of medical intervention according to clinical and ethical standards. The speaker also thinks that President Biden and Big Pharma are preventing this from happening, which is not right. The new actions taken aim to bring attention to the forces that have been hiding honest communication regarding the COVID-19 vaccines.
Dr. Weinstein stated that the decision-making regarding COVID-19 was a significant mistake in human history. The message from public health authorities was not only inadequate, but it was also the opposite of what should have been done. Due to the strong coercion, people did not have much of a choice and widely accepted it. The targeted vaccine caused the pathogen to diversify.
According to Gov. DeSantis, the pharmaceutical industry has a history of misleading the public and there are concerns about the truthfulness of the claims made by the companies that produced the mRNA COVID vaccines, especially in regards to transmission, prevention, efficacy, and safety. He believes that an investigation is necessary to determine if the industry has committed fraudulent practices.
